Telly Award #26 in 2026!
After a decade-long layoff from the Telly Awards, Channel Three Productions entered the promo video for the 2026 AAMVA Conference in Austin that we produced for the host commission, the Texas Department of Public Safety. Entitled “Join Texas DPS at AAMVA 2026 in Austin,” the video marks our 26th Telly Award. Largely a love-letter to Austin, this video captures all the reasons why Austin is a great town to hold a conference in. The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) held their Region 2 Conference the year before in Tampa, Florida, and this video promo closed out the conference with a sneak peek at what to expect the following year in Austin.

First 4 Driver License Videos Produced and Posted on DPS’ YouTube Page
The Texas Department of Public Safety has posted the first four videos we produced for their Driver License Division. These videos cover important topics for the general public such as “How to Make a Driver License Appointment”, “What Documents to Bring for a First Time License”, “How to Replace, Renew or Update a License”, and “You Can Do It Online.” These videos were all shot by Brad Ruekberg, featuring a cast of DPS employees and student actors from MediaTech. Final editing duties expertly performed by Nicholaz Riley and a voice-over from Clayton Mathis, known for his extensive anime work with Crunchyroll.

The next phase of videos currently being filmed include topics such as: “Transferring an Out of State License”, “Road Tests – You Got This!” and “Lawful Presence.”

Channel 3 Can’t Break Away from Breakaway Connectors!
Even as the TxDOT contract ended, Channel 3 just couldn’t break away from breakaway connectors, as we produced new video materials for Kaba Labs’ patented breakaway connector, now listed on TxDOT’s Roadway Illumination and Electrical Supplies “Material Producer List.” A tradeshow video and installation video is on KABA Lab’s YouTube page and website, along with the new 3D animation of the product in action created by longtime Channel 3 animator,

Conference Coverage is a Corporate Constant
Channel Three continued providing attendee perspectives and coverage at several key corporate conferences in 2026 including law enforcement tech company, Leads Online, Brokerage consortium NAILBA, Newrez Mortgage Lenders and Monument Builders of North America.
“Paul Baker: A Space For Genius” Nears Completion!
Just in time for the 100th Anniversary of Booker T. Washington High School (now the BTW High School of Performing and Visual Arts), we’re finally completing this long-awaited documentary on the founder of this original centerpiece of the Dallas Arts District (along with the Dallas Theater Center, Dallas Children’s Theater and the theater programs at Baylor and Trinity University, among others). Dr. Paul Baker has been called, “the most important man in the history of Texas Theater.” The behind-the-scenes backstory to this documentary is almost as dramatic as the subject matter. Beginning as a series of “final interviews” with Paul and his wife, Kitty back in 2007 for a presentation at Booker T., Brad Ruekberg began collaborating with co-Director Carolyn “Reis Myers” McCormick in 2013 on a feature length documentary featuring archival footage and new interviews with scores of colleagues and family. Daughter Robyn Baker Flatt, Artistic Director of Dallas Children’s Theater and the Baker Idea Institute, came on as Executive Producer and an initial cut was presented at DCT in 2019. Sadly, Ms. McCormick began battling cancer and died in April 2025. A renewed sense of urgency to complete this story immediately ensued on behalf of the legacy of Dr. Paul Baker and the vision of co-director Carolyn “Reis” McCormick. The documentary will screen at BTW H.S. during the weekend of October 23, 2026, for the Baker Weekend festivities, also featuring a production of Baker’s unique staging of “Hamlet ESP.”
